Looking After Your Leather
A bit about my products....
The majority of my bags and purses are made using a vegetable tanned, bovine leather from Italy. It is thick but soft and flexible and has a natural, uncorrected grain so that when it is dyed, the uneven, grained surface of the leather takes on its own, unique character.
The dyes I use are water based and mixable, allowing me to create the bright and varied range of colours that I currently offer. After dyeing the leather is sealed with an acrylic resolene to protect and finish the surface.
Caring for your purchase...
Everything I make is hand made from start to finish and built to last in the hope that it will be used and treasured for a good long time.
Because the dyes I use are applied to the surface of the leather, and because leather will patinate over time from the oils in our hands and the everyday dirt we expose it too, hand- dyed leather will require a small amount of care if you want keep it looking fresh and bright.
To remove any light scratches in the surface of the leather, gently buff the scratch with a soft, damp cloth.
I highly recommend regularly treating the surface of your leather with a protector spray or a neutral shoe cream, especially if you're taking it out in all weathers.
All of my bags have a lifetime guarantee covering the hardware, so if a rivet or buckle fails, let me know and I'll happily arrange to replace it. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any care related enquiries.
